What is a facial?
A facial is a noninvasive skin treatment that combines cleansing, exfoliating, moisturizing and the application of specific serums or masks custom to the client’s skin needs. Regular facials help to balance skin’s oil production, can maintain pore size (slow their natural enlargement with age), and reduce hyperpigmentation (dark spots). Facials are performed by specially trained, licensed professionals and should always be customized to each client.
What does a facial include?
At Aledo Empowered Wellness each facial includes the following:
- Cleansing to remove makeup, dirt and other impurities.
- Exfoliation to remove dead skin cells from the surface of your skin.
- A skin mask personalized for your skin concerns.
- Moisturizer to keep skin hydrated and supple.
- Light massage of your face and neck.
- Product recommendations for your overall skin health.
They may also involve:
- Facial steaming to open your pores and soften your skin.
- Extraction of blackheads or whiteheads.
- Serums and other treatments specifically chosen for your skin.
What Products do we use?
Depending on the type of facial desired, we use products by either SkinMedica or Skinbetter. Our facials can focus on purifying treatments for acne prone skin, calming treatments for sensitive or rosacea prone skin, hydrating treatments for dry skin, brightening treatments for discolored skin or people with melasma or hyperpigmentation.
